Destination Arosa

Arosa is a small but very charming mountain resort situated at a height of 5906 ft (1800 m) at the end of the wild Schanfigg Valley in the Canton of Graubunden. Discovered as a health resort in 1883, Arosa opened its first sanatorium in 1888. Some years later, it became a winter resort. The fresh air and natural surroundings invite tourists from all over to discover Arosa in the warmer summer season as well, when an all-inclusive package, the “Arosa Card is offered. Guests staying at least one night in Arosa can use the infrastructure, such as cable cars, village bus, boat, lido, and pedalo rentals free of charge – a perfect way for tourists to get to know the region.

If you are interested how Arosa looked like 100 years ago, step into the local history museum which displays among other things spinning wheels and weaving looms. A special place to pay a visit to is the mountain church of Arosa, which was built at the time when Columbus discovered America. This little church with the wooden roof and the 18th century organ still fascinates after such a long time. Arosa – small in size but offering a lot to its visitors!
