The genuinely Swiss-style 3-star "Superior" Hotel Derby with 70 rooms is ideally located directly at the railway station of Grindelwald surrounded by cheerful, pulsating life.It’s an ideal starting point for all activities in Grindelwald: skiing and hiking in the surrounding mountains, sports at the nearby sports center with indoor swimming pool, fitness center and ice-skating rink, or shopping on Main Street.

The facilities of the Hotel Derby include 3 restaurants: the "Foehrenstube" for fine dining á la carte (Swiss Specialties); the "Gaststube" for rustic local and Swiss cuisine and the "Derbystube", the Dining Room for guests with the Half-Board meal plan.The “Cava”-Bar can be reserved for special dinners (meat- and cheese fondues) and offers drinks and snacks with nightly entertainment (live music during winter season). Further amenities include a small wellness area with Sauna and Solarium, and free outdoor parking.

Description of Double Standard Room

Most rooms at the Hotel Derby have recently been renovated and are equipped with rustic, wooden furniture. These rooms have a balcony and are facing North with view of the Wetterhorn mountain. The Bathroom has a shower, and a hair-dryer is also included. All rooms include cable TV, radio, phone (direct dial-out), wireless Internet connection, safe and mini-bar and two Twin Beds (separate or pushed together). Smoking / non-smoking rooms available on request.

Description of all other Rooms:

Single Room: smaller room with balcony facing North or South; bathroom with shower only

Double Superior: with balcony facing South with view of the “Eiger” mountain; bathroom with bathtub including shower

Junior Suite: larger room with sitting area; with balcony, most facing South (some rooms facing North); bathroom with bathtub including shower

Apartment: larger room for families (2 adults and 2 children)
