of Double Standard Room (Hill):
All rooms at the Hotel Montana have recently been renovated in Art Deco style. These Standard Rooms are facing the hill, some have a balcony. The bathroom has a bathtub including shower (some with shower only) and a hair-dryer. All rooms are equipped with cable TV, radio, direct dial-in/dial-out phone, Internet connection, mini-bar and mini-safe. Most rooms feature 2 Twin Beds (separated or pushed together) while some rooms have 1 Double-Bed (queen or king size). Smoking / non-smoking rooms are also available on request.
Description of all other Rooms:
Swiss architect Pia Schmid completed the renovation on the 4th and 5th floor in 2002. The rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor were renovated in Art Deco style in 1997. For the first time in the history of the hotel, the two towers were renovated, now housing two Tower Suites.

Directions on how to get there
By public transportation:
After arrival at the Lucerne Railway Station, walk to the Main Exit and take bus number 6 or 8 direction "Verkehrshaus" (Transport Museum) and after approx. 5 minutes, get off at the 3rd stop ("Casino-Palace"). Then cross the road and take the funicular directly up to the hotel lobby (it takes only one minute and is free of charge); or take a taxi (approx. CHF 15.00), or walk across the bridge and then along the shores of Lake Lucerne (to the right), after approx. 10 minutes cross the main road between the “Casino” and the Hotel Palace, and take the funicular.
By car:
From Zurich / Basel / Bern: Take any Lucerne-Exit direction “Center”; then follow signs “Casino”; turning into the “Haldenstrasse” near the lake; then turn left across the street of the “Palace” Hotel (sharp turn), where you also see a brown sign “Hotel Montana”; follow the “Zinggentorstrasse” uphill to the church; turn right (sharp turn) at the church into “Adligenswilerstrasse” where you find the Hotel Montana after approx. 400 meters to your right.Or, directly park your car in the “Casino Parking” and take the funicular up to the hotel (see below).
From Gotthard (Italy) / Interlaken: Take the Highway exit „Luzern-Süd“, turn right at the traffic light following signs “Luzern-See“ (stay in the right lane); turn right at the third intersection following signs “Verkehrshaus / Küssnacht“; follow this street to the Railway Station and continue crossing the bridge (still following signs “Verkehrshaus / Küssnacht”) keep going straight along the lake and then turn left across the street of the “Palace” Hotel (sharp turn), where you also see a brown sign “Hotel Montana”; follow the “Zinggentorstrasse” uphill to the church; turn right (sharp turn) at the church into “Adligenswilerstrasse” where you find the Hotel Montana after approx. 400 meters to your right.
