Alpine Panorama Route
This route is the «King of Kings» in Veloland Switzerland! Between Lake Constance and Lake Geneva the Alpine Panorama Route takes you up to 2 000 meters above sea level and crosses several major and minor mountain passes. This is the only long-distance cycling
route in the Veloland Switzerland network that is paved the entire way and so you can also do it on a racing bike. A real treat for the sporty cyclist! This route has a very challenging elevation profile - at the summit of the Klausen Pass the maximum altitude of 1950 m is reached; the route continues to cross the breathtaking mountain passes of Glaubenbielen, Schallenberg and Col des Mosses. And should you start to flag, take comfort in the fact that most of the major steep ascents can be done for you by loading your bike on to the postal bus or train. (Reservation required - see Route Guide for details.)
