A world class premiere! The new Alpine Bike long-distance route is probably the first cycle route of more than 500 km to cross country boundaries, with perfect standardised signposting and the approval of all the responsible parties concerned! As with all of Switzerland's national routes, SwissTrails has also ensured that bookable accommodation is available all along the Alpine Bike No. 1 linked in with the daily luggage transfer system. The Alpine Bike route passes through some of the most spectacular Alpine passes and is perfect for sporty cyclists with some technical experience - as the slopes on the single trails are very challenging! However, anyone willing to take on the challenge won't be disappointed and will discover some of Europe's most spectacular and longest cycle routes.
