Cycling Route Map
*Select from the image above
Routes / Signposts All national and regional routes throughout this land of cycling use the same signposting system. The national routes use one digit route numbers and the regional routes two digit numbers. The signposts won't let you down so that you can leave your route guide in your saddle bag. See above for an overview of all the national cycling routes and stage destination.
Guide Book A guidebook is available for each route (in German and French; Aare Route and Lakes Route also in English!), published by Werd Verlag. The maps they contain, to a scale of 1:100 000, provide information about the nature of the routes, whether they have an asphalt or natural surface, whether they are quiet or (rarely) busy in terms of traffic, any ascents and descents, distances in km and regional route variations. The guide book price.
Dificulty Categories
Relax. The category for leisure cyclists. The stages are approx. 30-60 km long and can be completed in half a day. There's plenty of time left then for excursions, bathing and relaxing at a café.
Power. The category for sporty types with distances of 60 to 100 km covered each day and challenging topography along some routes.
Bike Hire With SwissTrails, you can hire a tour bike, e-bike FLYER, mountain bike or racing bike on all routes and from/to any destination.
