DAY TRIP BÜREN - SOLOTHURN 18 km - 12 miles
The Aare is a very slow flowing river between Büren and Koblenz and wends its way
through some extremely charming and varied landscapes. In this way, you can experience
the Swiss Mittelland region from a new angle. The route winds its way through the unspoilt
landscape of «Witi» – and at Altreu you will probably be able to see storks flying through
the skies. Also impressive is the arrival in the town of Solothurn with its cathedral, visible
from far and wide. The waters are pleasantly warm in Summer and a dip in the water is part
of the enjoyment of the trip.
