The Rhone Skate route starts in Sierre and runs through the Rhone valley to Unterwallis and on to Lake Geneva. The journey along the Swiss Riviera is extremely pleasant and comprises a host of striking names such as Château de Chillon, Montreux and Vevey. The Rhone Skate route is almost flat throughout but an occasional counter wind provides a degree of sporting challenge.

SIERRE - SAILLON 36 km - 23 miles
A magnificent stretch which mostly runs along the Rhone dam and continues on through the fertile plains of the Rhone valley, offering insight into the local agricultural fruit and vegetable growing economy. The thermal baths in Saillon-les-Bains offer a welcome relaxation at the stage desti nation.

SAILLON - MONTHEY / AIGLE 30 km - 19 miles

MONTHEY / AIGLE - VEVEY 34 km - 22 miles
The Rhone Skate route follows the river almost to the estuary then crosses the charming nature protection area at the mouth of the Rhine, arriving at Lake Geneva in Villeneuve. From here it’s one highlight after another: Château de Chillon, the beach promenades of Montreux and Vevey and the fascinating lights display on Lake Geneva.
