Description Hotel Rigihof

The 4-star Hotel Rigihof is located in the center of the University district of Zurich. It has 66 rooms and is approx. 2 km (1.2 miles) from the railway station and 1 km (0.6 miles) from the Old Town. Public Transportation stops in front of the hotel and provides for easy transfers to anywhere in Zurich. The Hotel Rigihof was built in the “Bauhaus Style” and is regarded as a prime example of the architecture of that time. “Bauhaus” marked the start of modern-age architecture in the 1920’s and its characteristic features are a functional design, clear, distinct lines, pronounced colors and light rooms.

Description of Double Standard Room:
All rooms at the Hotel Rigihof were recently renovated in a sporty, but elegant décor. Each room is dedicated to a celebrity who lived in Zurich and who, during this time, did or invented something valuable, unforgettable or typical touching a wide circle of people. The life and work of these people are depicted on pictures throughout the hotel and the rooms. Each painting is explained in a small text and further information can be found in the literature provided.The standard rooms are facing the backyard and some have a balcony. The bathroom has a bathtub including shower and a hairdryer. All rooms are equipped with cable TV, radio, direct dial-in/dial-out phone, analog and wireless Internet connection, coffee and tea maker, mini-bar and safe. Rooms are available with 2 Twin Beds (separated or pushed together) or with a double bed (queen or king size). All rooms at the Hotel Rigihof are non-smoking.
