We had Karen plan our trip after we submitted where we would like to go. We are quite independent travellers from Australia however did need help with understanding the trains and how it all worked. Karen organised our Swiss pass, train bookings where needed, and hotels close by or ones where there was a pick up from the station. Karen planned our trip from Zurich, Chur, Zermatt, Wengen, Lucerne and Basel. We loved the train travel, as it all runs on time and Karen provided plenty of options for each journey so we could choose which time we could leave. all the times and changes of train were listed as well as platforms. Some days we had three or four changes of trains, and this was managed quite well with all stations having ramps to help with suitcases being transferred quickly. We enjoyed the long journey on the Glacier express from Chur to Zermatt, lovely scenery along the way. All the hotel stays were very good however the Alpenrose in Wengen is particularly good value with the half board. It is family owned and has a lovely friendly atmosphere not to mention the beautiful view you can have from your balcony window over looking the valley and mountains. I would also recommend the Hotel Florhof in Zurich this is a small boutique hotel close to the old town area and only two tram stops from the station, we were very lucky to get into our room about 10am! which was so good after our long flight.
