Hotel Splendid, Montreux

The Hotel Splendid is a 3-star hotel located in the center of Montreux along the lake promenade. This traditional Montreux hotel which opened in 1904 looks back on a long history of experience and is managed by the same family in the 4th generation. Renovations were conducted in an effort to conserve the charm of the Belle Epoque and combine it with modern amenities such as Satellite TV and WiFi Internet. The Hotel Splendid is across the street from the landing and includes 28 room, many with lake views. It is situated in close proximity to the main attractions of Montreux including the Casino where the Montreux Jazz Festival is held every July, the Freddy Mercury statue and the train station. The family which manages the hotel does a fine job and their staff is devoted and service oriented, at the time communicating in many different languages.

The rooms at the Hotel Splendid hotel have a flat-screen TV’s with cable channels and have a private bathroom. Many rooms have a lake view and their own terrace or balcony. Their restaurant serves delicious Swiss and International dishes and the café is a cozy place to relax and hang out. The hotel provides its guest with free local public transportation when staying at Hotel Splendid.
