Tour Program (13 Days / 12 Nights)
Arrival in Switzerland. Rail transfer to Lucerne (1h away). Free time to settle in and relax. In the afternoon, possible visit to the Swiss Museum of Transport, an interactive favourite for families with exhibits on trains, aviation, ships, and space. Overnight in Lucerne.
Self-guided excursion to Mt. Pilatus. Ascend by the world’s steepest cogwheel train or the cableway, enjoy the adventure playgrounds, dragon-themed activities, and summer attractions such as the rope park at Fräkmüntegg or the toboggan run. Overnight in Lucerne.
Rail travel on the scenic Luzern-Interlaken route. Chocolate workshop in Interlaken. After the workshop, transfer by train to Mürren. Overnight in Mürren.
Self-guided excursion to Mt. Schilthorn, the famous James Bond summit. Enjoy 360° mountain views, visit the Bond World 007 exhibition, and experience the Thrill Walk at Birg. Free time to explore Mürren in the afternoon. Possible hike to Gimmelwald or excursion to Allmendhubel. Overnight in Mürren.
Self-guided exploring of the Lauterbrunnen “valley of 72 waterfalls,” including Staubbach Falls. Continue toward Lake Brienz, take a cruise to Giessbach to visit the historic Grandhotel Giessbach and the waterfalls. Possible swimming in Lake Brienz. Return to Mürren on your own. Overnight in Mürren.
Travel from Mürren to Interlaken and board the GoldenPass Express for a panoramic ride to Montreux (3h). Onward journey to Lausanne. Meet your guide and explore the UNESCO-listed Lavaux vineyards on foot, followed by a wine tasting and picnic. Overnight in Lausanne.
Excursion by Cheese Train from Montreux to Château-d’Oex. Enjoy a traditional cheese-making demonstration, a fondue lunch, and free time to explore the village. Overnight in Lausanne.
Scenic train ride across the country from Lake Geneva to the rolling Appenzell region (approx. 4h). Time at leisure to explore the village and its traditional charm. Overnight in Gonten.
Self-guided excursion to Jakobsbad and the Kronberg fun park. Enjoy the toboggan run, rope activities, zipline park, and fairy-tale themed areas—perfect for an active family day. Possible walk on the barefoot trail.
Excursion to Hoher Kasten by cable car for sweeping views over Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. Enjoy the panorama restaurant and scenic walking trails. Overnight in Gonten.
Rail transfer to Kartause Ittingen (approx. 2h). This former Carthusian monastery is now a peaceful retreat blending nature, history, and culture. Meet the farm animals. Possible wine tasting. Overnight in Kartause Ittingen.
After breakfast, rail transfer to Küsnacht to check in at the Romantik Seehotel Sonne, a charming 4-star superior lakefront property just 12 minutes from Zurich. Free time to swim or stroll along the lake. Overnight in Zurich.
