Celerina - Flims-Laax - Chur

This Swiss Alps journey is an immersive adventure through Graubünden's breathtaking natural beauty and rich cultural highlights. Your tour begins with a scenic train ride through the stunning Val Poschiavo to Celerina, followed by an excursion to Mt. Diavolezza for spectacular views of the Morteratsch Glacier and the surrounding mountain panorama. If you're lucky, you might even spot ibexes in the Pontresina area.

Next, you will board the Bernina Express for a ride along the UNESCO World Heritage Route to Chur, then continue by postal bus to Flims-Laax — an area renowned for its year-round outdoor activities. Here, you will explore the dramatic Rhine River Gorge with a guide and visit Lake Cauma, where you might take a refreshing swim in the turquoise water if you feel like it.

For your final nights, you will be based in Chur with a variety of exciting excursion options: seek thrills on Switzerland's longest summer toboggan run in Churwalden, go mountain biking, or visit the Arosa Bear Sanctuary.

Tour Program (6 Days / 5 Nights)

Arrival at Milan Airport. Rail transfer to Tirano and further on the Bernina Express route to Celerina in the Upper Engadin (4-5h). Or private transfer to Tirano where you board the train to Celerina. Overnight in Celerina.

Self-guided excursion to Mt. Diavolezza for stunning views of the surrounding mountain scenery and the Morteratsch Glacier beneath your feet. Free time at leisure in the afternoon, possible visit to St. Moritz or to an artisan Alpine cheese dairy. Overnight in Celerina.

Scenic ride by Bernina Express train on the UNESCO World Heritage Route Albula-Bernina to Chur (2h). Transfer by postal bus to Laax (45min). Free time at leisure to explore. Overnight in Flims-Laax.

Guided tour of the Rhine River Gorge, the Swiss Grand Canyon, one of the most spectacular landscapes in Graubünden (during summer season with the small panorama open-deck postal bus). Visit to the breathtaking Lake Cauma with its clean, turquoise waters. Overnight in Flims-Laax.

Transfer by postal bus to the historic Alpine city of Chur (45min). Self-guided excursion to Churwalden for a descent on the Pradaschier toboggan, the longest summer toboggan in Switzerland, combined with excursion to Lenzerheide. Option for mountain biking in the bike kingdom Arosa-Lenzerheide or day trip to the Arosa Bear Sanctuary, a unique animal conservation project located at 2,000 mts. above sea level in a stunning mountain setting. Overnight in Chur.

Departure for Zurich or Eastern Switzerland (Appenzell) with possible stop at the Landquart Fashion Outlet.
